Canoe, kayak and SUP excursions
12 km course
A self-guided descent that takes place on a calm section of the Red River; therefore it is accessible to all, beginners included! The 12 km course is peaceful, without rapids and does not require any particular skill. The departure on the river is done individually at Kayak & Cabana, upstream. At the end of the course, downstream, you will be picked up by the shuttle and driven (10 min.) to your car located at Kayak & Cabana’s parking lot.

Before Departure 📍
- The waiver and risk acknowledgement form must be completed by all participants in your group before arriving at reception. The form is included in the confirmation email sent after your reservation.
- Please arrive 30 minutes before your departure time for check-in at reception.
- Once check-in is completed, you will walk down to the river to the launch area (5-minute walk).
- At the launch area, our team will provide your equipment and review the safety instructions (10 minutes).
- Departure takes place at the time scheduled in your reservation.
During the River Descent
- You have a maximum of 5 hours to complete the route, giving you plenty of time to enjoy swimming and picnic breaks along the way.
- The duration of the descent may vary depending on river flow, paddling speed, breaks taken along the way.
- There are distance markers every kilometer to help you track your location on the river.
- Return shuttle services are available every hour.

12 km course
- Arrival at Kayak & Cabana 30 minutes before departure. No refund in case of delay.
- Instructions given by our staff regarding safety, basic technics, equipment and the itinerary.
- Self-guided descent of the river. The duration of the course can vary depending on river flow, rhythm and breaks.
- You have up to 5 hours to complete the route, including time for swimming and picnic breaks. Distance markers are placed every kilometer to help you track your location along the river. Return shuttle services are available every hour.
- At the end of the course, you will be picked up by the shuttle and driven (10 min.) to your car located at the Kayak & Cabana’s parking lot.
- The pick up time will be determined upon your reservation online.

- The descent is self-guided, and you must sign the activity risk acknowledgment form before participating.
- Life jacket is mandatory.
- By law, no alcohol and drugs are allowed on the river.
- Pets are not allowed during the descent. (New municipality rule since 2023)
- An environment without traces, please pick up your garbage during the descent.
- Respect riparians by staying on the beaches during your stops.
- No tubing or any others inflatable boats will be allowed in Kayak & Cabana.
- Minimum age for a child accompanied by 2 adults in a canoe: 3 yrs.
- Minimum age for a child in a single kayak: 13 yrs.
- Minimum age for a child on a SUP: 13 yrs.
- Minimum age for a child accompanied by an adult in the same boat: 3 yrs.
- Children 18 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
MORE THAN 24 HOURS BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE TIME
- You can cancel or modify and obtain a refund of your reservation.
LESS THAN 24 HOURS BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE TIME
- No refunds and no modifications will be authorized under any circumstances.
- It is your responsibility to inform the participants for whom you are booking a boat and who will accompany you, of the cancellation policy.
- The activity takes place even when it rains.
